PDLC Smart Film

Dimming glass film is a special architectural decorative glass film, also called electronic curtains. It controls glass transparency via voltage. Its principle is adding a liquid crystal dimming film between or on glass. Liquid crystal molecules adhere to an ITO substrate, and electrodes at the edges conduct current. Powering on changes molecule arrangement to control transparency. It freely adjusts space permeability, acting as a remotely controllable curtain for easy privacy control.

TRANSPARENT WHEN POWERED ON
The polymer liquid crystals align, allowing light to pass
through, making the film transparent.

FROSTED WHEN POWERED OFF
Without power, the liquid crystals become disordered,
blocking light and turning the film opaque.
