A film can look good on a sample card and handle differently on a bumper. If you’re buying TPU PPF wholesale from China, ask for a sample of the exact model on the quote. Match that code to the technical data sheet and roll label so you can reorder the film your installers approve.
Start with the roll you expect to reorder
If you’re replacing an existing line, start with the label from the roll your installers buy most often. Ask what they’d change. They might want to keep a 7.5 mil clear gloss film and have more time to reposition it on curved panels.
Send each supplier the same finish, thickness, roll dimensions, roll count and delivery city. Ask for the thickness tolerance and whether the measurement includes the adhesive, release liner or cap sheet. Check the price at your volume, minimum order per model and production lead time. Compare shipping costs using the same trade term and named port or delivery point.
Choose which KSB films to sample
C75, D75 and TOP75 share a nominal thickness of 7.5 mil. If that’s what you already sell, sample them side by side to compare how each film looks and handles.

Give the sample to an installer
Check the finish over dark paint. For a fit test, request enough film from the quoted model to wrap a bumper corner or mirror cap. Use comparable panels and have your installer follow each film’s application instructions.
While fitting the film, check how much time the installer has to reposition it and whether stretch marks show on the curve.
After the supplier’s recommended cure period, look for lifted edges, visible adhesive lines and changes in clarity under the same lighting.
Keep a labeled offcut, the sample’s lot code and photos from the trial. Record any changes the installer would need to make in their normal process.
If you also plan to stock matte or black film, trial the exact finish you intend to sell.
Check what the supplier can repeat
Ask who coats, laminates and slits the film, and who checks the finished rolls. Request the data sheet, a roll label photo and an example of a quality record tied to a production lot. Ask how the supplier would use that code to investigate a problem reported by an installer.
Compare peel adhesion figures measured on the same surface, with the same strip width, peel angle and time after application. For warranty support, agree who receives a claim and what they need from the installer, such as photos and the roll’s lot code.

Carry the sample approval into the first order
Use the first shipment to trial one or two approved models. Reference the sample on the purchase order and specify the model, finish, thickness and tolerance, roll dimensions and quantity. Agree what goes on the carton and roll labels and how you’ll approve any specification changes before production.
Before dispatch, ask for photos of the actual roll labels and a packing list. When the shipment arrives, check rolls from several cartons for core damage and winding defects. Unroll a section and compare it with your retained sample. Keep the lot codes with your inspection notes for the next order.
